How LoopVideo uses preferences, optional analytics, and embedded YouTube storage
2026/07/27
LoopVideo stores language and theme preferences so the site can reopen in the form you selected. Practice history, saved loops, A/B points, speed, and practice settings use browser local storage; they are not cloud data.
The site framework may use a first-party preference cookie for locale or other essential display state. Anonymous launch mode does not use account or session cookies because LoopVideo does not offer accounts.
Opening the embedded player connects your browser to YouTube/Google. YouTube may set or read cookies or similar browser storage when the player loads or plays. That third-party storage is governed by their policies and browser controls.
If you select Allow analytics, Google Analytics may set first-party
cookies such as _ga on non-practice public pages. These cookies use a
pseudonymous identifier to distinguish browsers and sessions so we can
understand overall site usage.
Google Analytics is not loaded before consent and is never loaded on video practice routes. LoopVideo does not send browser-local practice information to Google Analytics.
Your choice is stored in local storage under the versioned LoopVideo analytics preference. That preference is not an analytics identifier.
LoopVideo does not use advertising, targeting, affiliate, social-media, or session-recording cookies. Rejecting optional analytics does not affect the core product.
Use Cookie settings in the site footer to withdraw or change your analytics choice. Withdrawing reloads the page and prevents Google Analytics from loading afterward. Google Analytics cookies that already exist can be removed through your browser's site-data controls.
You can also clear all LoopVideo cookies and local site data in your browser settings. Doing so may reset your language, theme, saved loops, recent practice history, and analytics choice.
LoopVideo will update this policy before enabling any other non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technology. Questions can be sent to support@loopvideo.net.
